If a house in your room is dark, or your work office doesn’t have a lot of light, it doesn’t help your goals of wanting to create more space. So, go to the nearest DIY store, grab some paint, we’re sure there are many different shades but go with one that will match your interior and furniture.
#2 Innovative storage solutions
When we say storage solutions, we don’t mean the simple wicker baskets you can place under the coffee table, or drawers that will still take up quite a lot of space anyway. We mean clever storage ideas such as utilising space under the stairs, using glass dividers or walls to increase the amount of light, cool shelving to store items for your bathroom or kitchen. There is a lot you can do if you let your own creativity flow, this way you can also put your own stamp in your house, so it’d be unique and welcoming to guests.

#3 Multi-purpose furniture
This reduces the cost of having to buy other sets of furniture and gives you more space! It’s a win win. Folding dining tables still work a treat, storage boxes that can transition into seats are also gems, but since the world is evolving, there are a few practical and cool multi-purpose furniture items that have taken us all by storm – see for yourself.
#4 Take walls out
This may seem like an extreme solution, but open plan rooms, especially in offices and other work environments have become quite popular. So if you’re always wanted to smash a wall down that doesn’t really have a purpose and the building can live without it, go ahead.
#5 Increase natural light
Natural sunlight is a main thing people look for in homes especially. If you live in a place that suffers from very little light, use mirrors, and large windows and glazed doors to increase the level of light. When light does shine through, the mirrors, windows and glazed doors will do a better job of allowing it all throughout the room.
#6 Custom furniture
Although multi-purpose furniture is extremely useful and beneficial, creating your own bespoke furniture is another kind of excitement! We’ve seen people create pet friendly furniture which enables their beloved pets to have their own cosy little bed, dining tables which transform into even larger tables via magic and lots more. You can also test yourself with this one!
#7 Room dividers
Room dividers are exceptionally popular within large workspaces where there are different departments. They’re cost effective but still connect spaces visually, so it’s not as though you’re using a fake wall to block out noise and other spaces.
#8 Use walls – for everything
You can use walls for literally anything. Need to find some space to store pots and pans? No worries, your wall has got it covered. What about cannisters and your herbs and spices rack? Your wall has got that too! It saves space and provides a unique and characteristic look to any room.
