· Bench Top Table Saws
The bench top table saws are light in weight and are designed in such a way that they can work by sitting on the table. And it will support others as same. The universal type motor is used to drive directly. Because they are lesser in their weight and it is better to carry them to the required work place easily. There is no need of using the pulleys or v-belts to bench top table saw. This table saws are light in weight and its parts are made of plastic, steel, and aluminum. These materials reduce the weight of the table saw and it will give a good working property for the woodworker. It’s are the least expensive, so it good for the beginner of woodworking. It has the least mass, potentially it resulting in increased vibration during a cut.
· Contractor Table Saws
Contractor table saws are very heavy in weight. Because of it heavy weight, it base or stand is been attached to it. And they have wheels for easily moving it from one place to another. The motor used for contractor table saw is induction type of 750 to 1500 watts. It is used by hobbyists and homeowners because it provides standard electrical circuits with adequate power to run it. It is a less expensive table saw, so it is affordable for everyone.
· Cabinet Table Saws
Cabinet saws are very heavy and it minimizes vibration and increase accuracy. Its parts are made of steel and cast iron. Because of it heavy mass, the table saw will reduce the vibration for doing it properly. The cabinet is the closed base of the table saw. The motors used for this table saw are induction type ranges from 3 to 5 hp and it drives the blade with three parallel v-belts. It has improved dust collection due to the totally enclosed cabinet and its results a common incorporation of a dust collection port.
· Hybrid Table Saws
Hybrid table saws are manufactured to compete in the market with high-end contractor table saws and its cost is lower than the traditional cabinet table saw. It has an enclosed cabinet to help improve dust collection. Driving mechanisms can be a single v-belt, serpentine belt or multiple v-belts. The motor used for hybrid table saw is 1.5 or 2 hp motor.
· Mini or Micro Table Saws
A mini and micro table saw has a blade diameter of 4 inches and less than of 4 inches. The mini table saws are typically of 4 inches and while the micro table are less than 4 inches. Because of that we can’t call them with a specified name.It is generally used by hobbyists and model builders and they are much easier to carry and transport.
· Router Table Saws
The router table saws are used to make elegant and attractive shapes in normal or ordinary wood pieces. Itcan also typically be found in the average amateur handy man’s workshop and as well professional woodworkers. The router table saw simplifies the process of creating beveled edges or shaped cornices.
