Turning Pallets Into Outdoor Feature Pieces

Home Improvement
Pallets

Your taste changes every season and your outdoor furniture also does so. In the patio versions, rattan, glass, bamboo, and other natural elements are also included. These objects, while versatile, have become trivial for your home. To give your outdoor space an exciting touch, the usual suspects need braver and more special accomplices.

Wooden pallets can be perfect for your needs if you have been looking for an edgy, but inexpensive material that you can mould into different design parts. They can also be found for free, but they may not be in great condition. You will have to call a few nearby warehouses, depending on the proportion of your project, and double-check what their pallet disposal programme looks like. A trustworthy pallet supplier would be pleased to assist you if this is not available or feasible.

You should note that pallet recycling takes you a step closer to a more sustainable future if the affordability factor is not compelling enough. If you have been keen on spicing up some unconventionally repurposed items on your patio, continue reading.

Fences and Decks

For the past couple of seasons, have you been considering a fence upgrade? A wire of metal may be robust, but for your elegant taste, it is an eyesore. Oak is classy, but it seems exuberant to be the price for your whole house. Pallets of wood come to the rescue. In the desired pattern, you will need to disassemble them and restructure the planks.

You may want to consider constructing your dream deck while you are revamping the fence, too. The mission would be realised by a few more pallets, some construction instruments, and an engineering mind. By maintaining the original dimensions and the form of the pallets, you can keep it simple and mobile. Alternatively, you can use extra reinforcement and integrate it into the structure of your current stack. Cost-efficiency and uniqueness are assured either way.

Furniture for your Patio

Are you sick with the same old types of rattan patio furniture? Look no further than your neighbour’s wooden pallets if you are up for a DIY challenge.

· Tables

Your old metal patio table begins to rust and each year needs a painting job. It cracks the bottle, and you’re done fixing it. With a wooden pallet, paint, and some cutting equipment, a greener option could be achieved for your outdoor tea parties. If you can, you can also turn the top into a succulent paradise and never think about decorations for the table. Consider investing in the plant varieties that will hold pests away.

· Chairs and Bench Seats

You could create some extra patio furniture for those BBQs that never provide enough seating space if you have excess pallets in your garage. Depending on the rest of your exterior decorations, you could sand and paint. In white and blue, add a feeling of tropical paradise or hold the earthy tones for a country feel.

· A Swing for the Garden

A pallet swing will become your new favourite when you enjoy reading books in your garden hammock. Under the blue sky, imagine yourself on top of a hanging bed. For a single bed, you would possibly need two to three standard-sized pallets. For a total bed of comfort, double that up. Hang up on some robust ropes. Put a mattress in place and throw on some pillows & blankets.

· Herb Garden

A hanging wooden pallet spice wall may be a calming first experience if you are not too secure in your DIY abilities yet. Mount the pallet to the wall, paint as you wish, and in pots that match between the plank spaces, plant your favourite herbs.

· Compost Bin

You have found the answer if you have been wondering what it takes to make your own compost bin. To create your compostable garden room, a few pieces of wooden pallets and some zip ties for sturdiness are enough. For your biowaste to convert into rich fertiliser, the gaps between the planks will provide the perfect aerated environment.

· Bar or Counter Space

For a compact drink location, you can use a single pallet or combine two or three pallets for a larger design. With some spare planks or whole pieces of pallets, build the sides. Do not forget some shelves to create. Any material you fancy for the top surface can be integrated. For more longevity and weight, opt-in for concrete.
