Some Cool Facts You Must Be aware Of Thermal Imaging Cameras

MAINTENANCE & REPAIR
Thermal Imaging Cameras

There is a lot of information out there in the media, social media and even on search engines about thermal imaging. But the funny thing about it is that some of the information is completely false and has been misleading people al along. What makes it worse is that the current generation does not make the extra mile of verifying whether the information they are being fed with is true or false, once they read it that is their final data. I thought of bringing to you some cool facts about thermal imaging from a thermal imaging company that I feel you should know to clear out the myths that have filled the minds of many people out there.

The thermal imaging company has a large list of these facts that you can read from, to get them, you can simply visit the thermal imaging company links given above. However, I am going to bring to you some of them in this article, these include;

Table of Contents

  • 1. Thermal Imaging Can Not See Through A Wall
  • 2. Thermal Imaging Can See Through Dust Or Smoke
  • 3. Thermal Images Can See Through The Snow
  • 4. They Can Not See Through The Water.

1. Thermal Imaging Can Not See Through A Wall

A wall is very thick, and as the results read from the thermal imaging company is that the thermal images can only be seen through a thin substance and not too thick like a bock wall.

2. Thermal Imaging Can See Through Dust Or Smoke

Detecting a heat source from a blowing wind or smoke depends on some factors, if the density of the sand or wind particles is so high, then the thermal imaging won’t be so high. The thermal imaging company has done several tests to prove this.

3. Thermal Images Can See Through The Snow

Thermal imaging can see the snow though the level of visibility through it is so limited. This is as a result of the effects of the water droplets of the rain. Water droplets have a higher density and therefore require higher energy from a thermal imaging camera to see through.

4. They Can Not See Through The Water.

A very common myth out there, and you can easily assume that thermal imaging can see through the water because of the obvious reasons. Water is transparent but that does not qualify it to allow thermal imaging see-through, from advanced tests by thermal imaging company, it has been proven that they can not see through the water since the water is capable of reflecting back the thermal imaging and also water has a higher density as compared to air.
