How Much Does A New Hvac Unit Cost?

Air conditioning is literally a necessity in the state of Florida, so many home and business owner’s take it for granted but having a nice quality of life would be impossible without well functioning HVAC systems keeping our buildings nice and temperate. When it comes to getting a new HVAC unit installed, there are a few options available with different pricing.

Changeout

The base HVAC installation package is known as a changeout, this is simply just an air conditioner and heater replacement. This is usually the cheapest package as no extra work has to be done whatsoever. This procedure will usually only take a day, however you should get a changeout only if your ducts and ductwork are seamless and in repair.

Hvac With Ductwork

Getting new ductwork installed adds around $2,000-3,000 to your total HVAC installation, but it is very worth it. If you're getting an HVAC changeout for the first time, chances are that your ductwork is probably in similar condition, get it replaced at the same time as well. Well functioning ductwork is essential to keeping your energy bills down, it will allow your HVAC system to run more efficiently and save power in the process. Ductwork is the most time-consuming part of the HVAC installation process so many contractors will avoid selling it to you to save on work.

Hvac With Add-Ons

One of the most popular HVAC add-ons available on the market right now is a temperature zoning system. Imagine being able to hold separate rooms in your home at different temperatures: 77 degrees in the kitchen but 72 in the office; an HVAC zoning system allows you to do just this! A full HVAC installation with add-ons can run the average consumer anywhere from $13,000 to $17,500.
